Meet Margaret and Sally, Australian sisters who have come together to channel their passion for community into something great.
Their ground-breaking software — My Spending Planner — helps those who are either living with a disability, or provide care, to take a whole lot of their admin time back and live more fulfilled lives.
Like anything good, the cloud software system was borne from personal need.
margaret's story
Margaret accessed the NDIS on behalf of one of her two energetic sons, in between working her accountancy day job.
Along the way, Margaret met amazing therapists and parents who helped and guided her and her family.
The NDIS has made a positive difference to their lives and this served to inspire Margaret to try to make the experience easier for everyone else.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a more suitable developer of a program that helps you dot your I’s and cross your T’s and make sure it all adds up in the end. After all, she’s a nerdy book-keeper!
Sally's story
Like Margaret, Sally spends much of her time caring for others. She is a mother and teacher with more than 30 years’ experience working with young children and their families.
Sally has long been passionate about assisting young children with learning differences, which saw her transition to the world of early intervention, where she has worked for 10 amazing years.
Her personal experience as a carer has given her first-hand information on the difficulties of navigating the NDIS and the new skills parents and carers need to develop if they are to manage their allocation of funds.
Sally is excited to share what she has learned with others. She values quality time with her family and wants the same for all families.
By working with her sister to develop My Spending Planner, Sally hopes to give families more time to live life they way they would like to.
